As a child I would raid my parent’s tapes - not the sticky variety but the cassettes. If you know what a cassette is then you’re as old as me and no younger.
Listening to the music on the cassettes were foreign sounds to me and lit up a curiosity about how and what music is.
These days we are so lucky to live in Melbourne because there are so many opportunities to take our children to concerts, real live concerts. So exciting!
An important part to learning a musical instrument is to watch and listen to others play music. This increases your own music knowledge and plus motivates.
